About the role

Utilities moving from SAP IS-U to S/4HANA Utilities must also absorb smart metering, new market communication formats and §14a EnWG requirements. That combination is where this role sits. You design and configure device management, meter reading and billing processes, and you connect SAP to MDM, gateway administration and market communication systems. You work with our metering architects and integration engineers, and with client process owners in billing and metering operations.

What you will do

• Configure SAP IS-U or S/4HANA Utilities modules for device management, meter reading and billing
• Specify and test interfaces to MDM, head-end and market communication platforms
• Map German market processes (GPKE, WiM, MaBiS) into SAP workflows
• Support migration and cut-over planning from IS-U to S/4HANA Utilities
• Run workshops with client business teams and write functional specifications

What you bring

• 5+ years as SAP IS-U consultant, with at least one full implementation or migration project
• Detailed knowledge of device management (IS-U DM) and billing
• Familiarity with German market rules from the BNetzA: GPKE, WiM and MaBiS
• Experience working with ABAP developers and integration teams
• German at B2 or above

Good to have

• Experience with SAP IDEX or a comparable market communication solution
• Knowledge of SAP BTP integration services
