About the role
EU research and innovation funding is a central part of how we work on the energy transition. Proposals in Cluster 5 and the Digital Europe programme are competitive, and good ideas fail on weak work plans or late consortium building. Based in Brussels, you track work programmes, maintain relationships with programme officers and partner organisations, and coordinate proposal writing from first idea to submission. You work with our researchers, engineers and the grant management team in Frankfurt.
What you will do
- Monitor Horizon Europe Cluster 5, Digital Europe and CEF work programmes and identify suitable calls
- Build and manage consortia with grid operators, universities and public bodies
- Structure work packages, impact pathways and implementation sections
- Run proposal timelines, internal reviews and final submission in the Funding & Tenders Portal
- Attend info days and brokerage events and report back to delivery teams
What you bring
- 5+ years writing or coordinating EU research and innovation proposals
- Track record of funded proposals as coordinator or lead writer
- Good understanding of energy or digital topics at a technical level
- Excellent written English and clear structuring of complex material
- Willingness to travel within the EU for consortium meetings
Good to have
- Experience as an evaluator for Horizon Europe
- Knowledge of SET Plan and Clean Energy Transition Partnership calls
Languages
English (C1), French (B2) an advantage, German (B1) an advantage
