About the role

Many of our clients run workloads across their own data centres, German sovereign clouds and operational sites that must stay isolated. Frankfurt, with DE-CIX and dense carrier presence, is a good place to solve that problem. This role designs hybrid network architectures that are secure and supportable. You define interconnects, segmentation and remote access patterns, and you review designs from our platform and OT teams. You work with client network operations and carriers.

What you will do

  • Design hybrid connectivity between on-premises data centres, STACKIT, IONOS and Azure regions
  • Define segmentation and zero trust access patterns for IT/OT boundaries
  • Specify data centre fabrics using EVPN-VXLAN and modern firewall platforms
  • Write network standards and review designs from engineering teams
  • Support procurement of carrier services and data centre interconnects

What you bring

  • 7+ years in network engineering, with at least 3 years in architecture roles
  • Deep knowledge of BGP, EVPN-VXLAN and data centre design
  • Experience with cloud networking constructs and private interconnects
  • Practical knowledge of next-generation firewalls and secure remote access
  • Ability to explain trade-offs to security, operations and management audiences

Good to have

  • CCIE, JNCIE or comparable expert certification
  • Experience with network automation and source-of-truth tools such as NetBox
